General Info about Program - Veritas is a Classical Christian school located in Fletcher, NC (South
Asheville) and is considered one of the top academic schools in the state. The average SAT of a Veritas
graduate is 1260 (Old Scale). The students are enrolled in a rigorous academic course load that includes
mostly honors and AP courses. Latin, Greek and Rhetoric are all required courses for graduation. It is
highly unusual the school will admit a senior and rare that a transfer student is admitted with a GPA
under 3.3. Despite the academic challenges the basketball team plays a national schedule that includes
some of the top teams in the nation. Last season the list of opponents included Oak Hill Academy 3
times, Norcross, GA, Mt Zion Academy 3 times, Patterson Prep Gold and Blue teams & two college JV
teams, as well as many of the top private and public schools in the Southeast. This season the Warriors
will open their home schedule on November 9th at the Asheville Civic Center against Oak Hill Academy.
The game will be broadcast live on the local ABC affiliate, WLOS. The Warrior roster features 6 players
currently being recruited by NCAA Division I schools. Transcripts and SAT scores available by request.

Meet The Players

Sasa Borovnjak -

6'9" 227 Lb Rising Senior - Forward - Sasa is a native of Belgrade, Serbia. He is a versatile player who can score inside and out
and has very nice footwork around the rim. He is also a good defender and excellent rebounder. A hard worker who has put on
nearly 15 lbs of muscle since arriving in October. The players he is most compared to are ; Iliad Entimov (former NC State player)
& Goran Sutan (Current Michigan State forward) This Season -  567 total points in 40 games for a 14.2 ppg average, 397 total
rebounds in 40 games for a 9.9 rbpg average (In the last five games of the season he averaged 21ppg and 12.4 rbpg) Awards - He
was named to the Mountain State Coal Classic All Tournament Team in Beckley WVA, He was named the 2008 NACA High School
Division I Championship Tournament Most Valuable Offensive Player. (This award came after the team finished 6th out of 16 in the
tourney and several of the Rivals.com's top 50 players in their respective classes were also in this division.). Sasa is being
recruited by NC State, Xavier, Cincinatti, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, Notre Dame and several others.

Allen Ebert -

6'7 1/2" 2/3 Rising Senior - A lanky, long , slasher who can also shoot the 3 ball and grew an inch and a half this summer. A good
leaper. A transfer from Madison High School this year who did a great job of adjusting to the much higher level of competition. A
tenacious rebounder and excellent defender. USC/Upstate has indicated they are going to offer early but he also has VMI, East
Tennessee and several others who are interested. He has taken unofficial's to ETSU and Upstate As more people learn about him
I feel he could be as high as a mid-major.

Andrew Kyles -

6'9" 240 4/5 Rising Senior - Andrew is a big kid who can rebound and really understands pick angles. He also has a nice shooting
touch out to the 3 point line. We run a Phoenix style break at times and when we do we make him the trail because of his ability to
stop at the high post and knock down the 3.  He has taken an unofficial to American, Colorado State, University of Denver and
Northern Colorado. He had a great summer and grew an inch. Has been working hard on his speed and agility. Is running on the
cross country team.

Colin Sekal - 6'7" 3/4 Rising Senior - A transfer from Polk County HS where his Father, Scott was the head coach. Scott played
at Michigan State, served as a Grad Asst there and coached at Hillsdale College. Colin is a very physical 3/4 with great post moves
and an excellent outside shooting touch. A tenacious rebounder who understands the game very well. A 4.4 student coming in on
a 4.0 scale with a 1270 SAT. Dartmouth and Yale are the early front runners for this young man .Eastern Michigan, USC/Upstate
and even Utah have expressed interest. In our program he will flourish because of the level of competition he will face each day in
practice and then in games. An excellent leader who goes hard all the time.

Devon Pickering - Click Here to See Devon against Oak Hill's Brandon Jennings last season he is # 32 in the white. He also
had a good game on Patterson Prep's Blue Team

5'11" Point Guard - Rising Junior -  Stats - 390 pts in 38 games for a 10.3 ppg average , 148 assists in 38 games for a 3.9 apg
average. Pickering also had the highest assist to turnover ratio on the team at 3.81-1. Pickering shot a team leading 56 - 84 from
the 3 point line for a an amazing 66% 3 pt fg %.  Pickering had big games against big people including 24 pts and 3 turnovers in a
67-64 win over Patterson Prep Blue, he had 21 pts and 2 turnovers in an 85-70 loss to Oak Hill in the finals of Champions Classic in
Johnson City Tennessee. This was a four point game with 3 minutes to play and Brandon Jennings guarded him all game. This
effort earned him All Tournament honors. He had 18pts and 8 rebounds on North Cobb Christian and Georgia bound, Dustin Ware.
Then in the NACA Nationals he had a career high 26 pts with only 4 turnovers in our 72-60 loss to Nashville Christian in the
Consolation Finals. Pickering ended up wrestling the starting point guard job away from senior Jon Ellington by mid-season. This
is something when you know that Ellington was also recruited by D1 programs. He is being recruited by SC/Upstate, Morehead
State, Dartmouth, SE Missouri State and several others. His stock will continue to rise. He is an academic kid who will probably
want to look hard at the tougher level academic schools. He took an unofficial to Harvard this summer.

Edge Warren - 6'9" 3-4 Rising Sophomore

Edge is named after the U2 Guitarist and this young man is the next big thing. He runs the floor like a Gazelle, finishes with dunks,
blocks shots and has range out to the 3 point line. A long kid who gets off the floor quickly and is laterally quick enough to defend
guards. A transfer from 3A public power Reynolds HS, he has the potential to play at the highest level. Clemson, Va Tech and Old
Dominion are already involved. I feel after a year in our program and playing the competition he is going to face he could be a top
50 kid nationally in his class. Had a great summer playing for the South Carolina Raptors AAU organization.

Others to Watch

Paschal Mensa 6'1" combo - Rising Senior. If you are a D2, D3 or NAIA with a soccer program this might be a great 2 for 1 deal
for you. Paschal a native of Ghana has Division I soccer skills and is a tremendous athlete. On the basketball court he has great
speed, jumping ability and athleticism. An excellent defender who is quickly turning into our defensive stopper on other teams
high powered guards. A great first step and an excellent penetrator. As his shooting skills continue to improve and his
understanding of the game he could turn into a D2 level basketball player. An excellent student who is a true leader and is
someone everyone wants to be around. Really began to see lots of playing time for us near the end of the year.

Nathan Roberts - 5'10" Combo - Rising Junior - Nathan is a transfer from East Henderson HS where he averaged 14 ppg and 4
assists and was his teams top 3 point shooter. He is a quick smart player who will see lots of time because of his versatility in
being able to play the 1 and 2. A gifted 3 point shooter with great range.

Davit Pavliashivili 7'1" 4/5 Rising Sophomore. - This 16 year old native of the Republic of Georgia is raw right now and thin but
is coordinated, wants to be good and we feel will develop into a tremendous player in the future. A long 7 footer with a nice
shooting touch out to 15'. A project at this point.
