Prep All Stars Unsigned Senior Camp Report

On Saturday, March 24th Prep All Stars held their annual unsigned senior exposure event on the campus of Winthrop
University in Rock Hill SC. This event is recognized as one of the top events of its kind in the nation. College coaches
who attended were not disappointed as several hidden jewels emerged throughout the day long session.

While there were several players who were Division II level players, the camp also yielded some low to mid major
attendees.

Top Prospects -

All of these players are rated 3 Star Players - Low to Mid Major Division I college level

Josh Lanham – 6’6” 3-4 Greensboro Day School – It was hard to imagine that this young man did
not have any division I offers after seeing him perform. The well built workhorse showed great mid range with his jump
shot and great finishing moves facing the basket and with his back to the basket. A surprisingly speedy first step that
resulted in several hard dunks off drives... A tenacious rebounder both offensively and defensively who showed the
athletic ability to rebound offensively and then explode back to rim for dunks. He also showed the lateral quickness and
basketball savvy to guard quicker players as well as the strength to push bigger players off the box... I assume one of
the reasons that this kid has not been on more radar screens is that on his high school team he plays mostly a post
position out of the high post. The camp setting allowed him to show the versatility in his game and his ability to play the
3-4 spot on the low to mid major level.  Boyshoopscout considers Josh to be a major sleeper and urges any low to mid
majors who still have a spot to fill to jump on this young man immediately. He comes out of one of the best high school
programs in the state through Freddy Johnson out of Greensboro Day.

Jarret Johnson – 6’4” Shooting Guard – Patterson School. This springy shooter showed great three point range and an
excellent first step. A great finisher who ended plays with spectacular dunks. A very good defender with the lateral
quickness to lock down mid to high major guards. A decent passer with above average ball handling ability for his
position. Jarret spent the majority of the year on the Patterson Prep B team and faced several of the top prep and high
school teams in the nation. Boyshoopscout had also seen Jarret play earlier in the year with Patterson and just as he
did at the camp showed the ability to drain the three under pressure. We rate Jarret a low to mid major and have no idea
why he is still unsigned.

Ernest Bridges 6’5” 4/5 Wake Forest Rolesville – This thick undersized 4/5 had the D2 coaches in attendance drooling
but it is highly unlikely that he will fall through the cracks. His athleticism and raw power is enough to easily earn him a
Big South or Southern Conference offer. In addition to having the build of an NFL linebacker Ernest has a great wing
span that makes him play more along the lines of being 6’7” or 6’8”. He. attacks the basket hard and will be a tough
match up for bigger and slower post players. Has good back to the basket moves but also can face up. Range out to
15’. Can really defend bigger players because of his size but quick enough to shut down guards. Showed great
anticipation and has the tools to play on the top of a press. High Point, VMI and Coppin State have just got in the mix
and made contact. D2’s such as Newberry, Wingate and St. Andrews are all over him. For a kid of his talent level to still
be available is a real surprise. A personable young man who is family oriented.

Eddie Brown – 5’10” PG – Peachtree Ridge HS – Suwaneee GA. – Thick, quick and athletic would be the three phrases
to best describe this point guard. A very similar player to Andre Cornelius (Victory Chr). A very quick first step and the
spring to finish with a one or two hand dunk off the dribble. Showed above average ball handling ability and could go
both left and right. An excellent passer who could create opportunities for his teammates both in the open court and in
the half court.  Did not show enough of his jump shot to be able to guage it’s consistency but it looked good with a high
release. An excellent defender with the lateral quickness to stay with anybody. An excellent catch for a low to mid major
still in need of a quarterback.

Stephen Cobb – 6’5” 2-3 Enloe HS – Raleigh NC – An athletic and long kid who can shoot the ball and slash. Has 3
point range and an excellent first step. A very good perimeter defender. Has the ability to play on a low D1 level but with
a little work could play on a mid major level.

Chris Kupets – 6’0 PG – Cedar Shoals HS – Athens GA – Chris led the state of Georgia in scoring this season. An
excellent shooter with above average ball handling ability. Has good court vistion and excellent passing skills. Most likely
because of his high school situation does look to score more than pass. Has the foot speed to defend quicker players.
Reminds me of a poor mans Jason Williams (White Chocolate). Plays his AAU ball for the Georgia Stars. He should be
able to land in a low to mid major program.

Trailblazers, Ume Udoka. A good shooter who can slash and score. Can really defend well.
William Roberts – 6’8” – 3/4 – Milton HS – Alpharetta GA – Raw kid but runs well, works hard and is aggressive, would
make an excellent project.
Santana Roberts – 6’9” – 3/4 – Milton HS – Alpharetta Ga – Twin brother of William but a little taller. Works hard and just
needs some go to post moves.
Dakota Benson – 6’6” – 3/4 – North Henderson HS – Hendersonville NC – Dakota turned a lot of D3 heads at the event,
a deceiving kid with a good first step. He battles hard. Could definitely contribute on the D2 level at some schools.
Aleks Spasovsky – 6’1” Combo – Veritas Christian – Fletcher NC – A basketball gym rat who can shoot the ball and run
the show. A member of the Madedonian Jr National Team. Played his HS ball with one of the nations top big men in 7’1”

up.

trey.

Community College level. Many of these players could play on a D2 level in a different
part of the country. We had players who we did not feel could play college basketball
and did not assign them any rating.
